postnatal doula support
steady, nurturing support as you find your feet as a new family
The postnatal period is a time of enormous change—physically, emotionally, hormonally, and practically.
My approach to postnatal doula support is centred on creating a calm, supportive space where you can slow down, feel held, and begin to settle into life with your new baby. Because the way you are treated, and how supported you feel during this transformational time, can have long-lasting effects.
I understand deeply that what works for one family may not work for another. My support is always responsive, flexible, and non-judgmental. I’m not here to train you to find the “right” way, but to guide you in finding your way. Whether it’s feeding, sleep, or recovery, my role is to support your choices and help you feel confident in them.
How I approach postnatal support
During pregnancy:
My support for your postnatal period begins before your baby arrives. During pregnancy, I help you prepare for welcoming your baby so this time can feel as calm and well-supported as possible. All of my postnatal families are offered a two-hour postnatal planning session, where we focus on postpartum recovery and the realities of life with a new baby - whether this is your first, second, or subsequent child. This preparation helps maximise the support I provide after birth.
After the arrival of your baby:
I walk alongside you as you navigate the early days of parenthood and throughout your fourth trimester (the first 12 weeks after birth). I offer emotional reassurance, practical support, and gentle guidance - supporting you to learn your baby, trust your instincts, and find a rhythm that works for your family, without pressure to “get it right” quickly.
Postnatal support often includes help with feeding, infant care, emotional processing, and protecting your space so you can bond as a family. I also support you with everyday practicalities, while encouraging a gentler pace that prioritises rest, recovery, and connection.
working together
Postnatal doula support is tailored to your needs and can look different for every family. Some families want hands-on practical support, others value emotional reassurance, feeding support, or simply a calm, experienced presence during the early weeks.
I am a trained breastfeeding counsellor and can offer additional support as part of my postnatal work. For families who would find it helpful, I also offer nourishing meal preparation services, drawing on my diploma in nutrition, as an optional add-on to support packages.
The best way to explore what support would feel most helpful for you is to BOOK A CALL so we can talk through your needs. For guidance, postnatal support with me is offered in packages of hours that can be used flexibly across your fourth trimester.
support packages:
Postnatal support is offered in packages of 16, 24 or 32 hours to be used in a way that supports you best during your postpartum period. Full details and availability can be discussed during an initial consultation call.
